VICTORY, SUCCESS AND VIOLENCE
“Victory attained by violence is tantamount to defeat; for it is momentary”…Mahatma Gandhi
Having comparative advantage over others does not necessarily mean you are the best at what you do, using someone’s weakness as opportunity for exploitation does not make you better off either.
This is also not an incentive to flaunt your weakness; parading it as a general rule: everyone has a weakness” quoting scriptures to back your point.
Nevertheless, it is not your prerogative to be an opportunist, seeking to exploit people’s weaknesses.
Victory is essential. It is the brother to success, but it can be achieved without violence.
What then is violence?
Violence is not the entire use of force (coercion) to get what you desire like following the Machiavellian “end justifies the means”.
Violence also involves the use of intellectual aptness to disillusion your captive’s mind to achieve your goal.
Violence is intentional and targeted to destroy in order to achieve.
You can never pay for success by destroying someone else.
Victory is not a quantitative phenomenon rather a qualitative virtue.
Strive for it.

The Cork and the Bottle
Just considering a refrigerator full of bottle drinks without cover
If the bottles are corked they can be placed in any direction without losing the content.
However if the cork is displaced, how would the content be secured?
How relevant is this to enriching the human resource?
This analogue explains the importance a very small cork has on the entire liquid content of a bottle. No matter how big the bottle is, it is relevant only if the cork is available.
I have watched scavengers pick plastic bottles of drinks in ceremonies and I realize they enthusiastically go for bottles with cork.
It is more valuable with the cork.
My life needs a cover; yours as well dear reader.
A cover so when God (and…) tilts me to any direction I don’t lose the content inside of me (that He deposited).
If I lose God’s investment in me, then I am a failure.
The cork also protects the content even the bottle is in an upright position.
Flies cannot perch on the content; unwanted hands don’t have access to it either.
What then is the cork?
Watch out!!!

In a society where we are outsmarted...
I have come to notice something in our environ.
"The Poor" is a curse
"The Rich" is a privilege
In most organizations when you come on foot through the narrow gate you are seriously questioned most times not politely, but if you come with a vehicle especially a luxury you are welcomed politely.
And I tend to wonder why.
To gain entrance into a place I need an identity, but is wealth the needed identity?
is it a signature that opens doors?
And I perfectly agree. Yes you need wealth to open some doors.
But in heaven, wealth will not open "THE DOOR"
You need JESUS to open the door...

The State of Mind of a Poor
Unlike the "blessed are the poor in spirit..." which is a favorite part of the Beatitudes, a poor mind is the worst thing
Poverty is an evil spirit.
Imagine a typical person wants to use self inflicted suffering as a cover up for hard work.
Must I wash in the bathroom and later use broom to push away the residue? Na poor mind dey do am.
There is a difference between inadequacy and extemporaneous provision.
A typical Nigeria believes struggle is part of life which I agree to but his/her definition of struggle is what I deviate from not mildly.
Struggle in the sense that
If I am a student, I should not be taught. The Lecturer can decide just to issue course outline or even ask me to get it from the school's prospectus and prepare for examinations myself.
Or just imagine there is a difference between trekking as exercise and to reduce cost.
The poverty I am referring to here is not just about the low class in society, but people with a poor conceptualized mindset.
Instead of utilizing resources rightly we end up saving and suffering giving excuses.
If I want to exercise I can dedicate a day or two in a week but not turn trekking even when I can afford otherwise into exercise.
Enjoy your life while it lasts.
Don't be a miser to yourself.
Finally let others enjoy from your wealth; don't eat alone.
